The first time I have ever used a muzzle break. I have now switch to a lighter 308 rifle and the recoil of the bench is hefty compared to my rifles that with 2 lbs more. Well the brake worked as I was told, it reduced recoil and muzzle flip. The flash did NOT distract my view from the target at all. I did have to tighten it a few times and it need a good cleaning after my session of sighting in the rifle. It only added 2 inches but well worth it.
I just bought this for my Tikka T3x in .300 WM to replace the muzzle break that comes with it because shooting from logging landings, it kicks up bark or dust and just makes a mess. This one fixed that. Rifle jumps noticably less, I'd say I'm moving about half as far off target from prone bipod. Recoil is way reduced from no muzzle break. It's still oud AF, so don't think you're getting away without ears in, but I"m really pleased with it, if for nothing else the lack of dirt and debris getting thrown all over me.
This brake is amazing, it tames a rifle right down. My 10 year old can shoot my 300 WSM and my 7prc!! It’s easy to time so the ports aren’t blasting dirt in your face when shooting prone. Great price, great product, fast shipping, you can’t go wrong.
